I met Ma one day by surprise. I was leaving a bookstore, and at the last minute she called me Gilles. I turned around and there was a book in front of me and a photo of Ma. Then, less than two years later, I discovered her teachings on meditation on the Divine Name and thus became a disciple of Ma.

Anandamayi Ma was what is called an Avatar, a perfect incarnation of the Divine. She has been recognized as the greatest saint of the twentieth century. For her, recognizing the Divine means illuminating the world with a light that never ends.
